BOC awards ports and groups for outstanding Revalida performance

In line with the Bureau of Customs’ drive to pass the compliance stage of its enrolment under the Performance Governance System (PGS), the BOC on August 10, 2020, awards collection districts and groups in recognition to their transformation commitment and outstanding Revalida performance last June 2020.

Accordingly, a Bronze Award or Conferral Award was given to those who met the minimum requirements necessary for the completion of the BOC-Performance Governance System (PGS) Initiation Stage or 1st stage. The 6 Bronze Award recipients are the Port of Zamboanga, Port of Surigao, Port of San Fernando, Port of Batangas, Port of Legazpi, and Port of Aparri.

Following the Bronze tier, a Silver Award was given to Groups and Collection Districts who exceeded the minimum requirements of the 1st stage through introducing innovations in its PGS implementation journey. The 5 Silver Award collection district-recipients are the Port of Limay, Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Port of Davao, Port of Manila, and Port of Clark. For groups, the Enforcement Group (EG), Assessment and Operations Coordinating Group (AOCG), Post-Clearance Audit Group (PCAG), and Intelligence Group (IG), also received a Silver Award.

Lastly, groups and collection districts who exhibited their best effort in PGS implementation by exceeding the minimum requirements of the 1st Stage and by attaining identified strategic deliverables, were given with a Gold award. The 3 Gold Award collection district-recipients are the Port of Cebu, Manila International Container Port, and Port of Subic, while the Management Information Systems and Technology Group (MISTG), Revenue Collection Monitoring Group (RCMG), and Internal Administration Group, were also awarded in the group category.

The Commissioner of Customs, Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero, with the PGS Core Team Head, Atty. Lourdes V. Mangaoang and Office for Strategy Management (OSM) Central Unit Head, Atty. Noemi A. Garcia, presented the awards given to ports and groups. In his statement, the results of the Revalida showed the dedication and commitment of every personnel to contribute in making BOC a professional, honest and accountable organization.
