Make use of technology to enhance the tour product, the transition to e-commerce, and recapture guests with new experiences as we move towards the next normal.
The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry is inviting everyone to join the #CBM2020 Bring IT on Tourism with the theme “Technology and the Future of Travel & Tourism” on Aug. 19 (Wed) at 2 PM-5 PM via WebEx. CBM 2020 is chaired by Michael Cubos.
Learn from the experts on the latest technology and strategies that bring forth tourism revival in this pandemic. Governor Gwendolyn Garcia and Department of Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat will deliver the Inspirational Messages to the participants.
DOT 7 Regional Director Shalimar Tamano will present the Tourism Situationer of Region 7. Meanwhile, the Chief Executive Officer of Philippine AirAsia, Inc. Mr. Ricardo Isla will discuss the Aviation Situationer. Grid Magazine Executive Editor and Co-founder Mr. Francisco Guerrero will tackle the Transitioning from Traditional to Digital which will be followed by a Panel Discussion on E-Commerce & Tourism with the following panelists: Maria Lester Ybañez, Provincial Tourism Officer of the Province of Cebu; Janette Toral, E-Commerce Program Head and Lead Trainer of Certified E-Commerce Specialist, E-Commerce Entrepreneur, and E-Commerce Professional Program; and Raymund Villanueva, Head of Business for QR Ecosystems of PAYMAYA.
After the Panel Discussion, there will be an Open Forum which will be moderated by Alice Queblatin.
PUM Netherlands Senior Expert in Tourism & Hospitality Yvonne van der Kroft will present Virtual Tours 101: Design, Launch and Sell. There will also be a Video Presentation (360 Virtual Tour Experience) highlighting the Farm Tourism destinations of Cebu piloting the Adlawon Vacation Farm, The Chocolate Chamber, and Sirao Flower Farm. MATAVERSE Chief Executive Officer Ryan Tan Yu will also talk about the Virtual Tour Creation and Best Practices.
