To showcase school readiness and preparedness for a special school year 2020-2021, DepEd RO7 conducted a region-wide synchronized simulation on Learning Delivery Modalities on August 18, 2020.
The activity highlighted the preparation of DepEd Central Visayas for the incoming school year amidst the pandemic crisis and unfair criticism from social media.
The program hosted by the Division of Cebu Province with a nationalistic theme presented the various methods and resources to ensure the delivery of basic education in compliance with IATF and DOH protocol and standards.
Among the presented modalities: ALS Radio Based Instruction, Distance Learning Modular Approach, Synchronous Online Distance Learning, Modular Distance Learning, and Radio Based Instruction.
According to DepEd Regional Director 7, Dr. Salustiano Jimenez, “At DepEd Central Visayas, we adapt and we overcome. We let our proactive response outweighs our doubts and fears and with these, I am calling for unity for we are only strong as we are united.”
DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones failed to join the activity because of previous engagement but sent a special message with gratitude to all people in Central Visayas who believe the importance of education amidst the pandemic threat.
