CEBU CITY – Some 27 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) beneficiaries from Barangay Mambalaing, Cebu City received last week P10,000 worth of “Negosyo Kits” each from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Cebu Provincial Office through its Pangkabuhayan sa pagBangon at Ginhawa Program (PBG).
These 27 MSME-beneficiaries and their families were victims of fire incident on May 31, 2019 in Sitio Huyong-huyong Alaska, Mambalaing that destroyed their livelihood.
DTI-Cebu also gave another “Negosyo Kit” to an MSME beneficiary from Barangay Buhisan during the distribution program in Mambaling.
The PBG Negosyo Kits comprise of various items/goods that the beneficiaries can use to restore or improve their business, DTI-Cebu said that this is a livelihood seeding program for micro-businesses that are affected by fire incidents and other calamities, including disasters, health outbreaks and pandemics such as COVID-19.
The PBG is a DTI- initiative that supports communities with micro entrepreneurs to enable them to resume with their businesses after devastating losses from calamities, including armed conflicts.
