Toledo City Mayor Joie Perales provide free wedding services every Wednesday to couples who want to legalize their union.
“Joieful Wednesday Weddings” at Toledo City Hall is a new “personal” program initiated by Mayor Perales.
Inclusions of the Mayor’s free services are decors, photographer, singer, coordination and styling.
Yesterday, three couples were wed by Mayor Joie to kick off her “Joieful Wednesday Weddings” hiring the best coordination in the city. The couples were:
Jay and Armelia (from Talavera)
Jhonel and Christyl (from Sam-ang)
Joel and Jasellay (from Poblacion)
Mayor Joie told the couples, “Marriage is a bed of roses; but remember, rose plants have thorns. There will always be fights and conflicts. All you have to do is respect, love and trust each other!” Mayor Joie also added, “As much as possible, pakasal gyud mo sa simbahan in the years to come.”
For those who would like to avail of the “Joieful Wednesday Weddings”, please visit the Local Civil Registrar for your wedding requirements and filing of marriage license, situated at Toledo City Arcade. After filing, the couple shall proceed to City Administrator’s Office and look for Miss Rose Dacuyan for scheduling.
