You might be wondering what made The Chocolate Chamber’s Ensaymada unique in taste and characteristics. Listed in TCC’s menu as ‘Filipino Favorites’ since 2013, TCC puts a twist to this sweet, tender and tasty bread by filling the dough with melted Tsokolaté Bar before the chocolatey dough is folded, rolled and shaped. The baked bread is coated with whipped butter and topped with grated cheese, making it a truly a classic merienda favorite.
Baking was a common place for the “Chamber Keeper” Jonathan Choa and his brothers and sisters since they were the Chocolate Queen’s assistants in baking and cooking in general. With some inputs for instructions and ingredients from other siblings, Jonathan came up with the Tablea Ensaymada, a Filipino Favorite in TCC’s original menu.
“Baking was a natural thing for us since our Mom would ask us to assist her in baking”, Jonathan said.
