I was privilege enough to be treated for an exclusive lunch with my good friend Mr. Antonio M. Mingo, the Food & Beverage Director of Providore which is Summit Galleria Cebu’s main dining outlet.

Well, I had great catching up with my friend Tony. He is a veteran of Food and Beverage for over three decades already which rose from the ranks, started as a waiter to a Hotel Manager. His vast experience in Hotel & Restaurant Management covering from London, Hong Kong, Metro Manila and the rest of the countryside of the Philippines made him of what he is today, the man behind Providore.
Tony shared that the secret of his life and his success is he work for God and with God. He is honest with his work even if no one is watching and without supervision or incentive/bonus he work wholeheartedly. And I can attest to that for when I arrived at the restaurant I saw him sweeping the floor. It only showed much dedication to his work. A very humble Executive which I am truly proud of.
Providore is run by Raintree Restaurants Philippines, a restaurant group that redefined upscale dining in the Philippines. Must-tries are Providore’s 3 food specialties which Tony served me for lunch. First is the Four Cheese Pizza that has a soft dough crust and deliciously melted cheeses. Their Ube Champorado served with white chocolate tres leches sauce, desiccated coconut and crispy danggit. And their best seller, the finger-lickingly good Winner Winner Chicken Dinner served with mashed potato with sausage gravy, buttered French beans & corn and smoked bacon-cheddar biscuit.
