The Liter of Light and SM Seaside City Cebu light up the largest Sto.Nino de Cebu solar artwork on April 26, commemorating the 500 Years of Christianity in the Philippines.
Each of the overย 3500ย hand-built solar lights that make up the installation, which pays homage the patron saint of Cebu, were built by thousands of participants who signed on to Liter of Lightโs โLight It Forwardโ Challenge. Inspired by the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, LIGHT IT FORWARD has given Filipinos a new way to connect for good by inviting them to build solar lights for communities without electricity from the safety of their homes.
The participative solar artwork is the latest in a series of large-scale solar installations that the Liter of Light has built since Novemberย 2020.
The solar installation is located in SM Seaside City Cebu outdoor grounds.
After, the overย 3500ย Liters of Light will be turned over to communities without power supply.
