Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc lauds the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) for opening up more Negosyo Centers in four towns in Ilocos Norte.
In partnership with the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte, the Negosyo Centers will act as a one-stop-shop for business registrations, business advisory services, business information and advocacy for trainings, as well as monitoring and evaluation for feedback and improvement to speed up the launching of enterprises in communities.
Negosyo Centers were inaugurated in Pinili and Marcos on September 20, followed by Sarrat and Adams on September 21 and September 22, respectively.
Alongside, various livelihood kits were distributed to selected beneficiaries.
Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc expressed gratitude to the DTI for working with local government units in Ilocos Norte to bring government services closer to aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly in rural areas.
“The best solution for COVID-19 is not only medical but also economic. We need to revitalize our economy and give opportunities to as many people as possible.”
Governor Manotoc also noted that he continues to communicate with the DTI to learn what else they can do and how they can collaborate with them, stressing that “livelihoods are paramount— giving people opportunities ad ways to augment income.”
