As part of its continued efforts to help communities severely affected by Typhoon Odette, the BBM Cebu Headquarters through its chairperson Betsy Liao-Manapsal and key representatives Jun Manapsal and Regan King recently handed over relief goods to 500 families from Sitio Liberty, Sitio Antuanga, and Sitio Sudlot of Barangay Quiot in Cebu City.

Situated in the mountainous area of Quiot, the three sitios were among the worst hit areas of the devastating storm that battered Cebu province nearly a month ago.

The BBM Cebu supporters were joined by Quiot Barangay Capt. Francis Espares and Councilor Herbert Conde during the noble undertaking that deeply touched the hearts and gave hope to “Odette” survivors at these trying times.

Some members of Alpha Kappa Rho (AKHRO) fraternity did not only host the event, they also make it more meaningful by holding parlor games, and providing free haircut and free lunch to the typhoon victims.

Cebu City Councilor Edu Rama was also present to give shirts and bottled waters to everyone.

Cong. Sonny Lagon of Ako Bisaya Partylist also provided assistance in the transport of relief goods, from which the core members of BBM Cebu HQ are truly grateful.

For all the efforts and sacrifices they freely make especially for the needy ones, BBM Cebu HQ has certainly showcased the Cebuanosโ€™ resiliency and generosity in the face of adversity.

As their battlecry goes: “Sama sama tayong Babangon Muli! (Together, we will rise up again)”.
