Increased digitalization and internet popularity during the pandemic has seen the rise of the creator and gig economy. Many talented tech-savvy Filipinos have turned to producing social media content as a side hustle or a better alternative to an 8-5 job.
Realizing the growing need for freelance social media content creators to widen their horizons and explore new opportunities, DashoContent provided them with a chance to network with like-minded individuals last May 14.
During the Content Creators Meetup, an affiliate event of the DashCon 2022: Digital Marketing Conference on May 30, participants were able to finally ditch Zoom and geek about social media content face-to-face. It was held simultaneously in Manila and Cebu.
Creators spoke about their wins and pains and shared industry tips and tricks on portfolio sites, task management, getting gigs, and the best content for small businesses and brands. They also talked about trends like non-fungible tokens (NFT) and the Metaverse and spent the rest of the event networking over pizza.
The invite-only activity was DashoContent’s way of democratizing how small businesses publish consistent hyperlocal content. DashoContent is building the future of publishing for small businesses through a network of vetted freelance social media content creators.
The free event was supported by The Company Cebu and Draper Startup House. Learn about becoming a creator at DashoContent by visiting https://www.contentdash.app/social-media-content-creators.
