Leading developer in VisMin Cebu Landmasters, Inc. (CLI) will host its first-ever run on November 19 in celebration of the company’s 20th year anniversary at Pescadores Road, Cebu Business Park. CLI is anticipating 3000 runners across all distances and age categories.
Proceeds of the event will be used to fund community development programs implemented by Cebu Landmasters Foundation.
Dubbed as Run with the Masters, the event aims to give the participating runners a fun and masterful race experience from gun start to post-race and nutrition and hydration. Freebies and raffle prices are also to watch for.
CLI senior EVP and COO Franco Soberano said: “As CLI celebrates two decades, we go back to our roots and give gratitude to all our patrons, partners and friends for their unyielding support through the years. We want to make sure that all runners get to enjoy a masterful race experience for our first ever running event,” Soberano is a recent Berlin Marathon and 2-time New York Marathon finisher.
RUN WITH THE MASTERS
Pegged as a run for all ages, the run will have 5 different distances – 1KM Dash for children and senior citizens, 3KM, 5 KM, 10KM, and a 20KM (to mark 20 years in the industry) – so runners of all ages and genders can take part. The runners will also be competing in 5 age-group categories – Under 20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, and 50-above, with cash prizes for the winners in the competitive distances.
The race route will take runners through different projects of Cebu Landmasters within the city. A key highlight of the route is passing by CLI’s original office in Labangon, where Casa Mira Labangon now stands.
Registered runners will receive generous freebies to include a Race Shirt, Sports Headband, Sports Towel, entry into the raffle, post-race snacks, access to the Race Expo. Cash prizes will also be awarded to the winners of each race category.
To ensure proper recording of runners’ times – timing chip technology will be used for 5KM, 10KM, and 20KM distances. Finisher medals will be given as well to the 10KM and 20KM runners. Gun start for the 20KM will start at 4 AM, with 15 minute intervals for the rest of the distances.
Run with the Masters will be a sustainable event. All plastics used in the run will be collected by the CLI Foundation for its waste management program.

CLI SPORTING HISTORY
This is the first foray of the company into organizing the sport of running. A personal passion of the company’s top executives, owners and its active CLI running club, running has always been close to the heart of Cebu Landmasters and the first-ever CLI run is a way for the company to play its part in the growth of the sport.
Through the years, CLI has been a noted sports patron, specifically for basketball and golf. For basketball the company has been supporting pro basketball teams in Liga Pilipinas since the early 2000s and now is the proud corporate sponsor of the ADMU Blue Eagles and SHS-Ateneo de Cebu Magis Eagles. For golf, CLI has been organizing the prestigious “Swing With The Masters” tournament in Cebu Country Club and recently just announced a corporate sponsorship for Lloyd Jefferson “LJ Go”, a Cebuano golfer who competes in the prestigious Asian Tour.
