SM City Cebu, in partnership with the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation (RAFI) – The Kabilin Center (TKC), proudly presents “Kasaulogan,” a satellite exhibit inspired by the theme “Saulog.” This exhibit commemorates The Kabilin Center’s inaugural Art Program, launched during the opening of the recently concluded Saulog: Encounter, Pilgrimage, Transformation exhibit at 35 Eduardo Aboitiz St., Tinago, Cebu City.
Through a rigorous selection process, 10 mentees were chosen based on their portfolios to participate in this program. They engaged in face-to-face and online consultative meetings and visits with the featured artist, Steve de Leon, and curators, Fr. Jason Dy S.J. and Atty. Joseph Sedfrey Santiago.
These mentees were tasked with creating original artworks and writing narratives and interpretations of their pieces. The culmination of their efforts is showcased in this exhibit, representing the first batch of TKC’s mentees.
The Kabilin Center aims to continually develop activities under its Art Program, providing opportunities for Cebuano artists to enhance their talents and skills. As Cebu’s cultural hub for artistic experiences, The Kabilin Center is dedicated to nurturing and showcasing local talent.”Kasaulogan” aspires to inspire and celebrate Cebu’s emerging artists, embodying the spirit of Saulog.
The exhibit which is located at the second level of North Wing, SM City Cebu will run until July 31, 2024.
