The Chamber of Real Estate Builders Association (CREBA) Cebu Chapter continues to advocate for strict compliance with regulations for building construction among its members.
CREBA President Catherine Cusi emphasized the importance of adhering to government construction standards set by relevant agencies and ensuring the quality of real estate projects.
Ms. Cusi underscored that compliance should be a priority for all projects as part of the chapter’s goals. “We must uphold integrity and commitment in delivering projects on time as a core group of professionals dedicated to providing decent homes to our buyers,” she stated.
“No matter how simple the project, it is essential to comply with all rules and regulations governing the construction of commercial and residential developments,” she added.
During the recent general meeting held at the Cebu Exchange Tower, Engr. Emmanuel Espina, Acting Division Manager for the Planning & Monitoring Division of Metro Cebu Water District (MCWD), discussed plans to increase the water supply in Cebu.
Engr. Espina noted that MCWD aims to meet 63% of the total water demand in its service area within the next 10 years, doubling the current 30%. He highlighted that most of this increased supply would come from desalination plants due to the unreliability of groundwater sources, which are affected by saltwater intrusion, nitrate contamination, and unregulated water extraction.
In addition, Bess Ann Dizon, Manager and Broker Channel Manager of Arthaland Corporation, presented the company’s various projects. Arthaland, a publicly listed company, has developed multiple office and residential projects across Metro Manila and other regions, including the Cebu Exchange Tower on Salinas Drive, Cebu City.
“We are known for being green and sustainable, and we hold quadruple certifications. All our projects are pre-certified gold,” Ms. Dizon stated. She added that Arthaland’s projects have achieved LEED and BERDE certifications, offering 40% savings in electricity and water consumption.
The meeting also featured presentations from Magna CMGN Solutions Inc. and Aventus Medical Care Inc.
Ms. Izarrah Romero of Magna highlighted the company’s product offerings, including textured paints, odorless paints, polyboards, and lighting solutions. “We also provide exterior and interior fit-outs and specialize in design. Our motto is ‘infinite possibilities.’ When challenges arise, we create solutions. We adopt a solution-focused mindset for everything,” Ms. Romero explained.
She also mentioned the company’s goal of collaborating with architects and interior designers to integrate their materials into innovative designs.
Ms. Maureen Mauricio-Licyayo, Regional Manager for Visayas Marketing at Aventus Medical, briefed CREBA Cebu members on the services provided by its outpatient clinics, including two locations in Cebu City. Ms. Mauricio-Licyayo emphasized that Aventus Medical aims to deliver high-quality, effective, and efficient healthcare services. The company focuses on preventive care through primary healthcare screening, wellness programs, and chronic disease management, aiming to prevent health concerns from escalating into major medical issues.
She also outlined the services offered by Aventus Medical’s Multi-Specialty Clinics, Mobile Clinics, Managed Clinics, Home Health Care, and TelAventusMD. These services include consultations, imaging, diagnostics, and comprehensive healthcare packages. The Mobile Health Clinic, a specially outfitted truck with examination rooms, laboratory services, and advanced medical tests, provides convenient medical services to companies in remote areas and for employees who cannot easily access traditional medical facilities.
