Bench Hosts an Open Model Casting in Cebu for This Year’s “Body of Work”

Bench, a leading fashion and lifestyle brand in the Philippines, continues searching for the next generation of Filipino models with the second leg of its open model casting for “Body of Work: The Bench Show.” Held at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu City on October 27, 2024, the event drew a diverse crowd of hopefuls, from beauty queens to LGBTQ+ advocates. It reflects Bench’s commitment to inclusivity and representation in the fashion industry.

Following an eight-year hiatus from the fashion scene, Bench is poised to make a spectacular comeback with a groundbreaking runway show titled “Body of Work.” This highly-anticipated event, slated for November 2024, aims to redefine beauty standards and celebrate the rich tapestry of diversity and individuality within the fashion world.

Before the Cebu casting, Bench held two successful open model castings at The Bench Tower in Bonifacio Global City on July 23 and August 5.

The show will feature an impressive lineup of models, including some of the Philippines’ most renowned beauty queens, highlighting their unique stories and perspectives. With innovative designs and a vibrant atmosphere, “Body of Work” promises to showcase fashion and inspire conversations around body positivity and inclusion, making it a must-see event for fashion enthusiasts and advocates alike.

Ben Chan was part of the panel of judges who evaluated the participants in Bench’s open casting call in Cebu. He was joined by prominent figures in the industry, including renowned Cebuano designers Cary Santiago and Philip Rodriguez. Cebuana beauty queens Maria Gigante and Tracy Maureen Perez were also jury members. Miguel Pastor, Ara Arida, Shaun Pelayo, Noel Manapat, Bryan Lim, Kai Lim, Arnold Vegafria, and Rhett Eala completed the panel.
