PARTIDO SA BAGONG PILIPINO #91, AIMS TO EMPOWER BARANGAYS ENSURING ACCESS TO THE MOST ESSENTIAL NEEDS
Partido sa Bagong Pilipino (PBP) is a political party founded in 2019 by concerned citizens of the CARAGA Administrative Region. Armed with advocacies aiming to alleviate poverty especially in the marginalized coastal and rural areas in the Philippines, PBP proposes solutions that are formulated from the peculiarities of the region. It was accredited as a Partylist Organization by the Commission on Elections last 15 September 2023.
Once afoot in the House of Representatives, PBP intends to work on the following priority legislation that intends to bring national development to the barangays, focusing on four things: roads, healthcare, clean water, and kuryente.
Roads and Access
Connect the barangays to each other, to make it easier for people, goods, and services to get in and out of town.
Roads and Digital Connectivity
Healthcare
Made more accessible through programs that incentivize doctors and make basic medicines easily available.
An Act Enhancing the Doctors to the Barrio Program of the DOH
a. Expansion and institutionalization of DOH’S medical scholarship program for the benefit of the Doctors to the Barrio Program of DOH
b. At least one Town – one doctor, prioritizing coastal and highland areas in the country
Clean Water
Partnering with NGOs to deliver safe and potable water.
– PBP recognizes the institutional fragmentation of the water sector as one of the root causes of our water woes. The Party supports the creation of a Department of Water Resources to more effectively implement water sector policies.
– To complement institutional reforms, PBP will also propose amendments to existing laws that will build a stronger framework by accommodating varying levels of partnership with NGOs.
Kuryente
Advocating for the adoption of alternative and renewable energy sources.
Light, Electricity, and other forms of Sustainable Energy
– Efficient allocation of proceeds from development and livelihood programs of the LGU by subsidizing renewable energy sources, such as but not limited to, solar panels, wind mills, etc., for the benefit of government public schools and hospitals
“We want to be the party-list that lifts up barangays by empowering every Filipino, ensuring no one ever gets left behind. By working together, #TogetherWe provide the most essential needs – starting with clean water and basic medicines – bringing national progress to smaller communities.”, said nominees Gregorio Y. Larrazabal and Manuel L. Lopez, Jr.
