On Sunday, April 6, 2025, Pulyn Fortune Corporation marked a significant milestone as they proudly launched the Pulyn Dialysis and Diagnostic Center in Carcar City, Cebu through a grand opening ceremony.
The event commenced with a motorcade, followed by a press conference, and the blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony led by CEO Dr. Laarni Amistad, President Matt Marvin Cabalquinto, and COO Lorylie Cabalquinto, together with their families—Director of Mother Mary’s Children School Dr. Merlea Cabalquinto, Ms. Mia Cabalquinto-Alo, Mr. Marku Joven Cabalquinto, and Mr. Hartland Bon Amistad. Also present at the event were Carcar City Mayor Patrick Barcenas, Carcar City Councilor aspirant Rolly Baran, the staff of Pulyn Dialysis and Diagnostic Center, and members of the press.
In her opening message, Ms. Mia Cabalquinto-Alo proudly shared that the Cabalquinto family has long been rooted in Carcar. She emphasized their mission to deliver world-class healthcare services with top-notch quality at the most affordable price. Having established an academic institution 27 years ago, the Cabalquinto family is now expanding into the healthcare field—an endeavor inspired by their passion to serve the community and the influence of family members in the medical profession.
Dr. Laarni Amistad, who previously worked at Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center in Cebu City, recognized the need for a healthcare facility closer to the southern towns of Cebu. She recalled how many of her patients had to travel long distances, often arriving as early as 8 AM for their appointments. “Naluoy gyud ko nila,” she shared, expressing her compassion for those who came from so far away. This concern became the one of the driving force behind the vision to establish a more accessible healthcare center for the people of the South.
Carcar City Mayor Patrick Barcenas also shared how valuable the establishment of the center is, as people no longer need to travel far to access high-quality healthcare services.
Pulyn Dialysis and Diagnostic Center is a state-of-the-art, stand-alone facility that offers healthcare services such as dialysis treatments, lab tests, diagnostic imaging, and minor surgeries. What started as a dream in 2023 has now become a reality. Today, they proudly serve nearby communities by providing quality, accessible, and patient-focused healthcare.
The building has four floors. The first floor includes two clinics, an operating room, and a reception area. The second floor houses the dialysis clinic, equipped with up to 36 dialysis machines from top producer B. Braun. The clinic can accommodate three shifts, with 12 chairs in a fully air-conditioned room. In addition to dialysis, Pulyn also offers services such as ultrasound, X-ray, and laboratory testing located on the third floor. Other services include wound care, pharmacy services, and other essential healthcare offerings. To ensure comfort and convenience, the top floor features a café where patients and their families can relax while waiting.
With their affiliation with PhilHealth, Pulyn Dialysis and Diagnostic Center reinforces their dedication to serving the community—regardless of status—by offering free treatments, medicine, and consultations covered by the PhilHealth Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama (Konsulta) program, as mandated by the Universal Health Care Law. They encourage residents of Carcar to register for their PhilHealth insurance to access free services, including laboratory tests worth up to ₱1,700.
