The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) is aiming to transform Cebu Business Month (CBM) into a premier business festival that attracts entrepreneurs, investors, and tourists from all corners of the Philippines and beyond. With the theme Padayon Cebu, CBM 2025 aims to create a unique blend of serious business networking and vibrant, local celebration.

CBM 2025 Chairperson Consul Anton Mari Perdices emphasized that the core of the initiative is about creating meaningful connections.

“First, we want people to network more,” Perdices explains during the CBM 2025 launching, “so businesses can collaborate and grow together.”

Perdices also highlighted the value of continuous learning through forums and discussions on trends and innovations, all while ensuring that participants also enjoy the lighter side of Cebu’s culture — with some events culminating at the beach.

“This is about mixing business with fun. That’s why we end forums in the sand — because prospering and paradise equals fun,” Perdices added.

CCCI President Jay Yuvallos

Jay Yuvallos, a long-time supporter of CBM, echoed this vision with a call for province-wide participation. “If January is known for Cebu’s religious festivals, then June should be known for our business festival,” he said. “Imagine Daanbantayan, Oslob, Santander — all celebrating Cebu Business Month. That’s the dream. A united, province-wide celebration of enterprise and opportunity.”

The Chamber hopes CBM will eventually earn a place on the global calendar, with June in Cebu becoming synonymous with innovation, commerce, and community — a true business festival for the world. As Yuvallos put it, “It can only happen if all of us say, Padayon Cebu.”
