President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. will deliver his first State of the Nation Address in Batasang Pambansa today. This will be the 84th State of the Nation Address in history, a tradition that goes all the way back to 1935.
Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte issued an executive order declaring the suspension of classes in all levels (private and public schools) today. Mayor Belmonte also declared half-day work for local government employees in line with President Marcos first SONA.
Meanwhile, Department secretaries Erwin Tulfo (DSWD), Ivan John Uy (DICT), Toni Yulo-Loyzaga (DENR), Arsenio Balicasan (NEDA), and Trixie Cruz-Angeles (OPS) together with Senators Loren Legarda, Migz Zubiri, Robinhood Padilla, and Ilocos Norte 1st District Representative Sandro Marcos will join the PTV and IBC LIVE broadcast SONA Special Coverage at 1:30pm to give the Filipino people a glimpse of what President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr. will tackle on his first State of the Nation Address.
The SONA will also simulcast on Radyo Pilipinas shortly before 4pm. (PCOO)
