National Action Plan on COVID-19 Chief Implementer Carlito Galvez Jr. and Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez inspect salons and fast-food restaurants at a mall here on Sunday to ensure that proper health standards being implemented by the government are strictly observed by these establishments to contain the spread of COVID-19.
Metro Manila will remain under modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) until the end of May. Under MECQ guidelines, hair salons, massage services and similar facilities are still prohibited from operating. Fast food restaurants can only accept take-out orders.
The inspections being conducted by National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 officials are in line with the government’s efforts to gradually open the economy following a two-month lockdown. (National Task Force Against COVID19)
