Shangri-La Mactan, Cebu hosted a special Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) activity for in-house guests last June 29, 2024 to celebrate Chinese Arts and Culture with the Dragon Boat Fest. The event exemplified the companyโs mission of โBringing Asia to the world.โ Guests enjoyed an afternoon of cultural immersion, reflecting Shangri-Laโs dedication to sharing the diverse and vibrant traditions of Asia.
Before the Dragon Boat Race, participants engaged in a classroom session led by PADS (Professional Association of Dragonboat Sports). The session covered the rich history of Dragon Boat racing, essential commands, and safety protocols.
Four teams competed in a 200-meter mixed-category race which was a memorable experience fostering camaraderie and a spirit of adventure among guests.
