With the lifting of flight restrictions in the country amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the Laoag International Airport (LIA) has finally re-opened its runway for the resumption of commercial flight operations.

On the other hand, Governor Marcos Manotoc already allowed the resumption of inbound flights starting July 20.
To reinforce the province’s COVID-19 safety protocols, Task Force Salun-at personnel will be stationed at the airport to facilitate comprehensive health checks upon arrival of passengers and before their admission to a quarantine facility.
Moreover, general documentary requirements for returning residents traveling to province via air are accomplished Request for Entry of the Returning Resident Form together with proof of residence and valid ID, Medical Clearance Certificate along with Certificate of Completion of Quarantine and Official COVID-19 test results if applicable, and a Travel Authority issued by the Philippine National Police. Upon disembarkment, a Health Declaration Form must also be accomplished.

To process entry to Ilocos Norte, returning residents must send an electronic copy of the abovementioned requirements to ilocosnortecovidcenter@gmail.comat least seven (7) days before the flight date. In addition, they must bring a hard copy of the documents to be presented upon arrival.
