The Cebu Business Month Entrepreneurship Committee is all set with its ENTREPRENEURS’ SUMMIT on Wednesday, July 28 live via zoom at 1:00PM-5:30PM. This virtual Entrepreneurs’ Summit consists of key players from both public and private sectors for an interactive session of ideas, updates, opportunities, and action plans geared to build a more Resilient, Innovative, Sustainable and Empowered (R.I.S.E.) Cebu business community, particularly the MSMEs in the post-pandemic era and beyond.
The Summit Keynote Speaker Usec. Rosemarie G. Edillon, Undersecretary for National Development Policy and Planning, National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) will tackle about the government adaptive strategies, policies, targets, programs, and projects to lead the country to a more resilient post-pandemic recovery.
Meanwhile, Mr. Roderick M. Danao, Chairman and Senior Partner, PwC Philippines will talk about Macroeconomic Trends 2021 and Beyond. Topic about Agility and Resilience in the Face of Endless Change will be presented by Sec. Jose Maria “Joey” A. Conception III, Presidential Adviser for Entrepreneurship, Go Negosyo Founder and ASEAN BAC Philippines Chair. It will be followed by the First Panel Discussion about Government’s Offerings and Support to help the MSMEs R.I.S.E. (Resilient. Innovate. Sustain. Empower.) Forward. The Panelists include Dir. Ma. Elena C. Arbon, Regional Director of DTI Region 7 and Mr. Bryan B. Ybanez, OIC Ard for Technical Operations, DOST Region 7.
PLDT Enterprise Business Head Mr. Kent De La Calzada will share his thoughts in Turning Crisis into Opportunity for Stronger and Building Better Normal. It will be followed by the Second Panel Discussion about Path to Resiliency. Panelists consist of Mr. Steve D. Benitez, CEO of Bo’s Coffee; Mr. Jose Soberano III, Chairman & CEO, Cebu Landmasters Inc. and Ms. Fe M. Barino, COO of Duros Land Properties, Inc. The Panel Discussion will be moderated by Mr. Nimrod L. Quinones, General Manager of Alta Vista Golf & Country Club and will be followed by an Open Forum.

Sustainability & Empowerment consists of topics like Social-Tech Entrepreneurs: A New Entrepreneurial Genre will also be shared by Ms. April V. Ong Vano, Social Entrepreneur Collabox; Empowering Off-Grid Communities by Mr. Emil Andre Garcia, Executive Vice President and COO, Vivant Energy Corporation; Empowering Family Businesses to Fast-Track Sustainable Development by Engr.
