Starting out as a humble after-work bar in 2009, Rue Bourbon was inspired by the excitement brought about by the world-famous Mardi Gras festival in Bourbon Street, New Orleans. Rue means “street” in French and Bourbon, the name of the famous New Orleans bar strip.
Rue Bourbon or “Rue” for short, offers a noteworthy dining selection and a revolutionary product that has since been the foundation of its success – Caramel Beer, establishing Rue’s status as The House of Caramel Beer. From then on, more flavors have been added to the roster such as Peach, Lychee, Roasted Hazelnut, Cucumber, Watermelon, Toffeenut and more coming soon. Beyond the booze, Rue is also famous for its deliciously good food with its 6 hour Roast Beef, Juicy Ribs, Sisig Nachos, Beef Birria, Rockefeller Oysters, Buffalo Chicken Tenders and Thin Crust Pizzas.

And now, with an approximate investment of roughly Php 18,000,000, the Mendoza family has brought Rue to Cebu, with Rue’s 7th branch finally open here in Mandaue City, Cebu. This is Rue’s first branch outside of Metro Manila, the first franchise in the Visayas-Mindanao region.
Rue Cebu is located at Meerea High Street, along Ouano Avenue, Reclamation Area, Subangdaku, Mandaue City, Cebu. The store is open to serve customers from 5:00pm to 1:00am from Tuesday to Thursday and on Sundays and 5:00pm to 3:00am every Friday and Saturday.
The store is about 226.31sqm and can seat a total of about 130 people. Customers can choose to reserve a table inside the store or they may also opt to dine al fresco. For those who want a more exclusive experience, a private room with KTV is also available. It can seat around 10 to 12 people.
As Rue is both a restaurant and bar, its target market consists of mostly millennials with a mix of Gen Z. Many businessmen, businesswomen, working professionals, groups of friends like to spend their after work hours at Rue to unwind. Rue is for anyone that genuinely wants to have a good time with great food, great drinks, great music and even better company.
